Jarrett Weinberger, M.D., FACP
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan Dr. Jarrett Weinberger received his medical doctorate from Wayne State University in 2006. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Weinberger immediately entered into academic medicine where he spent upwards of 8 years guiding one of the largest Internal Medicine training program in the state of Michigan. Dr. Weinberger has served as the Medical Director of Quality for his practice group and is an active member in several national professional organizations. He has also collaborated with the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation in their “building trust” initiative. He has an eclectic array of scholarship exploring graduate medical education innovations, clinical outcomes in diverse populations, and case studies. He remains clinically involved in both the inpatient and ambulatory setting service as the primary care provider exclusively for HIV positive patients. He provided critical support and guidance for the implementation of a diverse patient population educational series and a Health, Equity, and Justice in Medicine (HEJiM) curriculum. His teaching and lecture interests include clinical reasoning, feedback, professionalism, and high-value care. Dr. Weinberger is an Associate Professor in the division of Primary Care and Population Health. Dr. Weinberger currently serves as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of the Detroit Medical Center inclusive of over 60 programs and more than 700 residents/fellows.
